PRECIMA Magnettechnik is your partner for electromagnetic safety brakes and clutches designed for the demanding conditions on offshore drilling platforms. Our products are used wherever reliability and precision are crucial under extreme environmental conditions.

Our electromagnetic spring-applied brakes, including the proven FDX and FDW series, are suitable for use on the high seas. They offer braking torques from 5 to 3,000 Nm and are suitable for use as both holding and service brakes. Thanks to their robust design and low-wear materials, they guarantee a long service life even under the harshest conditions, such as salt water, strong vibrations or extreme temperature changes.

The brakes are designed for continuous operation (S1 – 100% duty cycle) and have protection classes from IP65 to IP67, making them particularly resistant to environmental influences. These characteristics make them the ideal choice for applications where maximum operational safety and reliability are required.

In addition, we offer a wide range of customisation options to adapt the brakes to your requirements. These include threaded holes for encoder mounting, mounting flanges for flexible integration, and axial internal cable routing for brakes and microswitches or sensors. Optionally, microswitches or inductive sensors can be integrated for function and wear monitoring.

Additional options such as integrated heating or standstill heating are available for use in extreme environments. A manual release, which can be locked if required, as well as a customer-specific terminal box or temperature sensor can also be integrated as needed.

We look forward to your challenges!
